If you weren't back then, perhaps the Polar Vortex changed your reality, depending on where you live.
The tropics are still waiting, and if you can manage to get a few days off, I can find a cruise for you.
Holland America has some amazing deals for their Mexican Riviera cruises from San Diego right now, even for the high-demand spring break time of year, and it seems air from frozen parts of the country to California are relatively low compared to Florida flights this year.
Why not form a small caravan of your own and visit the gorgeous beaches of Mexico?
And this is also the perfect time of year for an extended cruise to the Southern Caribbean or possibly a Panama Canal cruise, whether full transit from coast to coast or a roundtrip trip Canal voyage like Holland America's popular 10- and 11-night "Sunfarer" trips that take you through half of the locks bookended by several sunny Caribbean ports in each direction.
And if you feel guilty about taking a great vacation at the time when people in the third world are suffering, consider my recent blog post, "Is Travel Selfish?"
In addition to helping others, travel makes you a better person, as videos at my linked article indicate.
Plus, if you aren't enjoying your life, you may be unintentionally making yourself a burden to others. Of course, never spend more than you can afford, or you will become a burden to others.
