Why the Riviera Maya?

Cruises may be shut down to Americans this autumn, but it seems we still want to travel.
To Norteamericanos, Mexico says, "Bienvenidos!"
Sandy beaches, warm ocean water and frosty beverages come quickly to mind as excellent reasons to bask in Mexico's sunshine.
Depending on where you go, you can add great snorkeling to the list, including in Riviera Maya, where you can swim with sea turtles in Akumal.
Amazing archaeological sites have recently re-opened, so you can also explore the Mayan culture not far from the beaches of Cancun, but the Riviera Maya puts you a few miles closer to world-renowned sites like Tulum and Chichen Itza.
Definitely add some Viator Tours to broaden your vacation experience.
Lodging prices range from downright inexpensive to ocean front suites in deluxe, all-inclusive resorts.
You choose the vacation you want, keeping in mind that your flights will cost the same no matter what level of accommodations you choose. Speaking of which, you may be surprised to learn that I can often package a flight with the resort of your choice at additional savings through my preferred vendors like Funjet, Travel Impressions and Pleasant Holidays.
If you don't choose all-inclusive, then of course you'll spend more out of pocket pesos during your trip, but prices are always affordable South of the Border.
What's the down side?
Frankly, the fall is the peak of hurricane season, and this is unfolding as the above-average storm activity year predited months ago by everyone from Farmer's Almanac to NOAH.
If you're tired of being hunkered down in familiar surroundings, why not take a chance on Rivierar Maya for a change of pace?
On most days during hurricane season, there's not a hurricane where you happen to be. It's a gamble, but then again, life is always a gamble, and to win, you have to get back in the game.
As a reminder, we sell more types of vacations than just cruises.
