Cruises may be shut down to Americans this autumn, but it seems we still want to travel.

To Norteamericanos, Mexico says, "Bienvenidos!"

Sandy beaches, warm ocean water and frosty beverages come quickly to mind as excellent reasons to bask in Mexico's sunshine. 

Depending on where you go, you can add great snorkeling to the list, including in Riviera Maya, where you can swim with sea turtles in Akumal.

Amazing archaeological sites have recently re-opened, so you can also explore the Mayan culture not far from the beaches of Cancun, but the Riviera Maya puts you a few miles closer to world-renowned sites like Tulum and Chichen Itza.

Lodging prices range from downright inexpensive to ocean front suites in deluxe, all-inclusive resorts.

If you don't choose all-inclusive, then of course you'll spend more out of pocket pesos during your trip, but prices are always affordable South of the Border.
