With exciting commercials, some amazing onboard attractions; --- would you believe full theatrical-production Broadway plays or multi-story go-kart racetracks on a cruise ship? --- and most of all their alluring free at sea amenities like beverage packages, alternative dining, Wi-Fi, shore excursions, 2-for-1 air, kids sail free, NCL seems to have grabbed the attention for many travelers interested in large ship cruising.

There's a lot of fine print, but this makes a very tempting package for families and others interested as cruise ships as destinations in their own right. 

Of course, you still get great ports with every cruise, even if you just stay onboard when most passengers go ashore.
