The best part about being a Cruise Planner is getting to know nice people.  Logan called me from a Yellow Pages ad twenty years ago, and he's been calling me to book his cruises and land vacations ever since.

When he moved from Los Angeles to a retirement community in Washington a couple of years ago, I assumed he would not be traveling again.  After all, he and his wife Mary were both 98 years old.

However, they booked a trip to Los Angeles last April so Mary could celebrate her 99th birthday with her son's family.  With Covid-19 grabbing headlines, I figured they would cancel their flights, but instead they took the trip and enjoyed a wonderful visit.  They were forced to quarantine for two weeks before rejoining their retirement community but said it was worth it.  They lived to tell the tale.

In fact, they are flying to Atlanta in three months to celebrate Mary's 100th birthday with here extended family back in Georgia.

Better still, they also deposited a weeklong Alaska cruise roundtrip from Seattle for mid-July.

They had both traveled many years before Logan met me.  After they met on a cruise a few years ago, they married and have taken several adventures together at an age when many people would be content to look back at scrapbooks.

Travelers travel.  That is our defining characteristic.

With advances in modern medicine,  we may well live into our hundreds, assuming we don't get hit by a bus while checking out social media on our smart phones.

Then again, Logan and Mary aren't on social media, so I guess they're safe.  They don't have a computer, either.  Quite frankly, that creates a little extra work for me, especially now that most mainstream cruise lines no longer have printed brochures, but I'm happy to have the opportunity to help such an inspiring couple.

We must all remember that our time on this beautiful garden planet is limited, so we must make the most of every year.

After being forced to stay home much of 2020, what will you be looking forward to next summer and beyond?

Let me help you get there.

"Better service leads to better trips!"
