Thank You, Front Line Health Care Workers

On Memorial Day, I noticed many ads thanked healthcare workers dealing with this unprecedented pandemic, but quite frankly, it didn't seem appropriate to me.

Not that healthcare workers aren't entitled to special commemoration, but Memorial Day is specifically for military members who lost their lives in defense of our country, in my opinion.

To make up for not mentioning doctors and nurses outside the military on Memorial Day, allow me to share great news for front line healthcare workers.

As you know, AmaWaterways is a top notch river cruise line, and I strongly recommend a river cruise to everyone over the age of 18!

What's the catch? 

Well, there are a couple of minor ones.

You may only book a cruise that will depart within 90 days of booking, and you must cruise before the end of 2021.

The cruise does not include air, and cannot be combined with other promotions.

Finally, the big one is that the second guests sharing the room must pay for their half of the room.

When can you go?

AmaWaterways, like most other cruise lines (American Queen and American Cruise Lines being notable exceptions), have shut down cruises until August 1, 2020.

As of now, you may book most AmaWaterways cruises departing in August under this promo.  In another week, potential cruises in the prime wine harvest month of September will be added incrementally.  You could also wait and book later, once you're within 90 days of a future date before the end of 2021.

P.S. While not directly related, I'd like to mention the latest information from Viking River Cruises.  They will now be shut down until September 1, 2020.  It is possible that AmaWaterways and other cruise lines may eventually follow suit, although most are chomping at their bits to get back in the race.
