That sounds terrific, doesn't it?

I remember a mother and daughter booking an amazing Mediterranean cruise a few

years ago who went with an interior room because of the enormous price difference,

even though they would actually have preferred an ocean view or better room, which

came with amenities like a Beverage Package or $150 per person on board credit

under "Go Big."

Back then, the ads for Celebrity all read "Go Big, Go Better or Go Best," meaning

choose one, two or four perks, depending on the category and price point.  This new

promo applies to all categories.  It's really not groundbreaking so much as nuanced

change, but it does a nice job of illustrating how cruise lines tend to break up their

offers, though all have differences.  In many cases, we can strip away amenities or

make a deposit non-refundable to improve the price. 

So, you now have a glimpse into the future with one cruise line.

However, if you have children under the age of 17 who will be sharing a room with

you, then you may prefer to book before this new promo starts.  While I can't assure

you of what the price difference may be once the new promo starts, I can say that

currently Celebrity has a true "kids sail free" promo that doesn't apply to only

toddlers in tiaras.  It applies to kids 17 and under traveling as in the same room as

3rd and 4th guests.
