Buy a Verandah or Suite on Holland America on select cruises to the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska or Europe, and give an interior room to your kids or friends for free!**
Okay, free means you still pay taxes, gratuities and shore excursions (assuming they want to go ashore), but that's an incredible chance to give the family a cruise as a Christmas or Hanukkah present.
In addition, for your Verandah or Suite, you will get free Signature Beverage Package (up to 15 drinks per day), 50% off deposits, free stateroom upgrades, one free night of Pinnacle Grill specialty dining and 10% off shore excursions under the combineable Views & Verandah sale.
The free room does not receive these amenities, but you can purchase upgrades to better stateroom categories.
If your adult kids drink more than you do, consider putting them the Views & Verandah room and take the interior yourself, upgrading to a room you find suitable.
Or, if convince your friends to take adantage of the amazing Views & Verandah sale amenities and tag along in the free insider room, if you like.
It should be noted that name changes are not allowed, which might complicate matters in terms of trying to get the drink package for yourselves but needing an adult in the free interior room, but let me know your family situation, and we'll do our best to sort through it. A great solution is to bring a grandparent along to supervise the second room.

**Buy One, Gift One Offer applies to select 2021 Alaska, Europe, Caribbean and Mexico cruises through December 18, 2021. On Alaska Land+Sea Journeys, the secondary booking of the Interior stateroom will be USD $800 (or equivalent currency)-off the base fare (NH). The primary verandah or suite booking is required to be a part of the View & Verandah offer and will receive all applicable View & Verandah amenities. The secondary, interior stateroom booking (on NH) is not eligible for the View & Verandah
offer amenities. The verandah booking and interior stateroom booking must be on the same sailing. Guest has 3 business days from initial booking date to get the rate adjusted on the interior stateroom. Travel Advisor or guest must already have the interior stateroom booking number handy when calling in. Should guest wish to upgrade the interior stateroom, they can apply the value of the interior stateroom towards the upgraded stateroom fares. Should guest cancel the verandah booking, the interior stateroom booking will automatically cancel as well. All bookings are capacity controlled. Name changes are not allowed on either the Verandah or Interior Stateroom booking.
