The subject line doesn't refer to the relatively hassle-free environment of cruises and packaged land tours, but it could.
I was actually showing my age by referencing a song that I've loved for decades. Steely Dan's very jazzy Aja is essentially pronounced "Asia."
In any case, hopefully it brought Asia to mind for you, too.
While Alaska, Caribbean, Mexico and Europe come first to mind when we think about cruising, Asia should definitely be on your bucket list.
After all, Asia makes up 30% of the globe.
The only question is where to start, because there is a lot of territory to cover.
Whether you choose China, Japan or Vietnam/Thailand/Laos, there's a lot to see, and any trip can only scratch the surface.
I'd love to help you stretch your horizons to the far east.
