We all agree that traveling with family can be a wonderful bonding experience, but who will organize the event?

I'd love to help.

While you are the group leader, you don't have to do all the work.  I will be the primary contact to answer questions about the details and collect payments. 

I will put together a cruise sheet to serve as a short invitation, mentioning your name as a means of introduction, and then direct them to address interest through me.

Unfortunately, while there may be occasional shorter trips on the newest ships, they tend to cruise itineraries of a week or longer, which might stretch the budget a bit for some family members on tighter budgets. 

Don't turn away from older ships that fit your group's budget.  Your family can still enjoy a great cruise on the oldest mainstream ships.  They may not have as many balcony rooms or a race track on board, but cruises will have lots of fun entertainment and delicious meals.
