Almost immediately after writing that our new web site didn't have a handy way of screening my blog posts, I realized that I did have that capability myself but haven't been using it to its full potential.

I set up a lot of new categories for destinations as well as cruise lines, so you can click on one of those and find a blog post of relevance and categorized almost a year's worth of posts.

Unfortunately, on smart phones the index shows up as a big black box before you reach any posts below it, but we're working on fixing that.

Anyway, to my great surprise, it turns out that in the last year, none of the posts in the CruisePlanners1 blog have featured one of my favorite destinations in the world: Greece!

My wife's grandfather immigrated from a little village in the hills above the coastal town of Chania on Crete, which gives us extra incentive to return, but in essence, we are all Greeks to some extent.

That means we should all go to Greece at least once.

Greece is where much what we take for granted in the United States and indeed Western Civilization began.

And if you care nothing about the foundations of little concepts like democracy, the beaches are totally awesome, mon!

Expand to visit the Holy Lands, and you will understand the pillars of our lives that are lightyears beyond what could have been imagined possible in ancient times.

The only question is, "How should you travel there?"

I personally would say to take a cruise your first time at least, because then you can visit more than just one island.

Each island has its unique treasures, so why not see as many as you can, possibly returning to the one you like best?

And you will return, because Greece is magical.
