Feel the Thrill of the Last Minute Deal
Published Thursday, December 5th 2024Feel it?
Baby, it's cold outside.
Winter is coming on strong.
Now ask yourself: "When did I last take a cruise?"
If you didn't take a cruise in 2024 yet, it is not too late.
Booking at the last minute comes with more limited choices, but you can also find the thrill of the last-minute deal, if you're flexible.
What do I mean by flexible?
Maybe consider a ship or cruise line that isn't your favorite.
Possibly go on a different itinerary rather than insisting on visiting a particular port.
Consider a category you haven't imagined for yourself.
A last-minute deal doesn't necessarily mean squeezing into an interior room in the bowels of the ship.
It might be finally splurging for a balcony or suite instead of a window-view of the ocean obstructed by a lifeboat.
It might be trying one of those small ships with greater luxury and lower guest-to-staff ratio.
And it can mean choosing a cruise that includes your shore excursions, so that when you return home, you look back at the best vacation of your life.
According to my calendar, we've got over three months of cold weather ahead of us.
Wouldn't you love to cruise to a Caribbean island, Mexico, the Panama Canal or Hawaii to savor the sunshine and warm water?
And remember, a cruise is so much more than the destination.
It's escape from washing dishes and back-aches from reclining too long in your favorite chair.
It's gourmet meals and world class entertainment on board.
And it always makes a great Christmas present for your significant other, a gift you can share and make even more special by being extra sweet and attentive throughout the voyage.
Make the most of your life!
Cruise this winter!
Feel the thrill of the last-minute deal!
