Are you sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, when in fact you're actually neither?

You're likely more accurately uncertain and bored, if not frightened out of living.

What you need is a cruise, actually.

Every year around Thanksgiving, our daughters Gina and Amy watch --- you guessed it --- Love, Actually.  This year, Julie and I were on the east coast to join their annual viewing event.

Before the opening credits had completed, it became clear why our granddaughter was not allowed to join in watching this comedy.

Profanity, innuendo and even a glimpse of porn pop up frequently, which for us was all too much for an impressionable 11-year-old.  Nonetheless, put me on the side of people who find this a funny flick, albeit one with an R-rating that should be heeded by parents.

Certainly, much of the plot stretches credibility, and perhaps without the adults-only elements it would have quickly become sappy, but it works.

It's a fun escape for a couple of hours that you can experience without leaving home.

I love television, and I would be happy to recommend other shows I've been enjoying, like The Rookie (ABC) or Clarkson's Farm (free on Amazon Prime), but that's not why you're reading this, if in fact you are reading it at all (I have come to terms with realizing I may just be shouting in an echo chamber without any listeners beyond myself).

I am writing to say that you need to take a cruise, actually, so you can remember exactly who you are.

Do you really want to spend the rest of your life worrying about when it will be safe to get on with your life?

Best unlock those doors and get back to living.
