All Cruises Banned Permanently!
Published Monday, September 21st 2020 - Updated Monday, September 21st 2020All candidates running for office this year have so effectively slimed each other that by consensus on Twitter, the November elections will be cancelled permanently.
On October 31, the United States will convert from rule by democracy to Technocracy, with panels of scientific experts determing every aspect of our lives, taking away all that disturbing individual freedom of choice.
As such, all cruises have been permanently cancelled on behalf of the greater public good.
Wow, that would be a Nightmare on Elm Street, wouldn't it?
Fortunately, we might actually be on the cusp of the end of this unprecented lockdown of healthy people.
After months dragging by, with delay compounding delays, cruises may finally be allowed to begin cruising US waters in November. At least, that's what cruise lines and the ports in Florida now have begun to pursue more aggressively after months of passively accepting guidelines.
I won't speculate on vaccines here, as they don't seem to be necessary to provide outstanding cruises that comply with strict safety protocols.
Norwegian Cruise Lines has begun signalling they plan to cruise not only from the big Florida ports but --- drum roll please --- Los Angeles!
In Europe, Italian guests have been thrilled by the first five voyages of MSC Gradioso, a mega-ship cruising through the Mediterranean.
While Americans might be interested in MSC Cruises around Italy, or perhaps a German line catered to German citizens, at this point they're only open to Europeans from selected targeted populations. However, they are laying the groundwork for us by proving that safety protocols work.
In the long run, less crowding and tougher restrictions before boarding will make cruises better for all of us. As I've said before, I don't like having obviously sick people selfishly go to the buffet to sneeze right in front of me.
Hopefully, these new protocols will make large ship cruising more like small upscale ships.
Speaking of which, one of the best cruises in the world is open right now for US guests: Paul Gauguin cruising from Tahiti to the Pearls of French Polynesia.
If you are chomping at the bit to go on a cruise, you won't find a better tropical cruise than French Polynesia.
Paul Gauguin was the Mid-Size Ship Ocean Cruise Line" in 2019 by Travel + Leisure, one of many such awards she has won over the years.
Or, as mentioned last time, you can go to Mexico now for a wonderful beach vacation at an all-inclusive resort, if you just can't wait for November.
Cruises over the holiday season and byond now seem increasingly likely to go as scheduled.
Where have you been dying to go before you die?
