!Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Published Monday, May 5th 2025 - Updated Monday, May 5th 2025Who doesn't enjoy an excuse to have some chips and salsa?
You might as well click some tortilla triangles together and say, "Ole!"
Perhaps like me you grew up with tacos, burritos, beans and Spanish rice as staples in your diet, although I think based on grocery store shelves on the east coast, that is more western culture.
In any case, after a long, cold winter, the idea of warming up on a beach in Mexico sounds darn good.
Shouldn't you take a cruise there?
While the Mexican Riviera and ports like Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada and Puerto Vallarta beckon on the West Coast, from the East Coast there are lots of Western Caribbean cruises that take you to Cozumel and other sunny locales.
Why not combine your celebration of Cinco de Mayo by telling your wife or mother that you have booked a cruise to take her to sunny Mexico as a Mother's Day gift?
For now, just email Wes@CruisePlanners1.com to take a refundable option, so she can tell you why the date you picked won't work or --- surprise! --- it's perfect!!!
How did you know that she likes Piña Coladas?
It's a safe bet, as long as you understand you can also get them without alcohol. It can be a nice alternative to a Margarita or cerveza, which seem more synonymous with Cinco de Mayo.
Regardless of whether you plan a cruise to Mexico or some other destination, you can always enjoy a bit of that fiesta feel on a cruise, especially when there's a sunny day at sea by a swimming pool with a cold beverage in your hand.
It's always wonderful to savor cruising simply for the simple pleasures of being on a cruise.
By the way, if you never click on those highlighted hotlinks, you really have no idea of all the fascinating stuff you're missing.
And if you have been on a cruise, you know what kind of fun and wonders you will be missing if you don't book another one.
