In the title for this post, I age myself by referencing a TV ad that still rings in my ears from my childhood.

This winter, you could be "living on the Riviera."

However, in this case, the payoff isn't a convertible sofa as in those old for Riviera Sofas commercials.

You could be living on the Mexican Riviera...a few days at a time.

Yes, you can book a land stay in Cabo or Zihuantanejo to kick back on the beach drinking cervezas and eating Mexican seafood, but a cruise includes wonderful sea days going both directions instead of the hassles of airports.

Sometimes, there may be only one cruise that meets the parameters you establish for the dates you can go, the type of room you want and your budget.  That is often true during summer months.

Between fall and spring, lots of cruise lines bring their amazing ships to embark on a handful of cruises from Southern California ports.

That also means I can help you find the cruise ship and stateroom that will best fit you personally.  I listen to what you want and will direct you to what I think is your best choice.  In fact, I may sometimes keep repeating that when you stray to one that isn't in keeping with what you essentially already told me would be ideal for you.

Millions of people can drive to Los Angeles or San Diego to board one of these Riviera dream cruises, but if you do fly in, you can spend a couple of sunny days in San Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles before boarding your cruise, just in case the air travel does what now seems to have become the inevitable SNAFU.  If you watch any movies or TV shows, you must have some So Cal spot you've always wanted to visit, so do it when it is convenient.

For people west of the Rocky Mountains, a Mexican Riviera cruise is easier to reach than Caribbean counterparts cruising from sunny Florida, as great as those are.

So, are you ready to cruise to perennial favorites like Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan?

Or do you want to take one of those usually longer variations that include lesser visited ports like Loreto and La Paz?

Maybe you just want a quick getaway to Ensenada?

When you ask yourself if you will enjoy a cruise to the Mexican Riviera, the answer is, "Si!  Si!  Si!'

See for yourself how great it is to be living on the Riviera...The Mexican Riviera, that is!
