The last two years have been quite stressful.

We may have been knocked back on our heels, if not down to the pavement.

Along the rough and tumble way, we may have ruffled a few feathers ourselves.

During the holidays, remember who you and those loved ones around you truly are --- your best selves.

Move away from repeating memes and instead reminisce about good times, like wonderful vacations you've shared.

Be a good friend, celebrating all that has unfolded for friends and family that is good and noble.  Don't allow yourself to slip into a not-so-subtle game of one-upmanship or worse.

When I think back on my mother, who was always such a wonderful hostess or guest for holidays, she always made it seem like she was totally on your side, no matter what had happened in your life.  That she was there to help you celebrate or ease the burden.

We should all strive to be more like her.

If you have a relationship that started on the wrong foot --- and that may be especially true if you met during this recent tumultuous era of mask or no-mask, peaceful protest or riot/insurrection, and Greta Thunberg or Keystone Pipeline --- do your best to re-start on the right foot.

Any time I think about re-setting my frame of mind, however, I must admit that the answer is not found in holiday gatherings but rather in getting away on vacation.

Cruises in particular offer regeneration that help us see the world anew.

Are you ready for a re-set?

It's time for you to plan your next great vacation, and I will be happy to help with that.
