There's Nothing Like Cold and Flu Season....

...to make you realize how much you miss summer fun.
I'm fortunate to live in Southern California, where we never seem to be too far away from at least an intermittent summer-like day to brighten our moods.
Rarely, do we go more than a couple of days without a few hours of bright sunshine.
Most places in America, however, are in the midst of true winter right now, and nothing sounds better than a sunny vacation with fresh sea air, world-class entertainment and new adventures that don't involve a remote control or keyboard.
Simply by getting out in sunshine, you feel better.
The glow of a tan plus some outdoor exercise makes you look better and healthier.
We all to a great extent are who we imagine ourselves to be.
Getting the sniffles is a good reminder of how healthy we feel in the summertime when the weather is fine.
It reminds us of our happiest days as kids on summer vacations, laughing while playing with our friends.
Never underestimate the renewing power of laughter.
In this increasingly digital world, where we retreat to our social media for "sharing" and watch gloomy talking heads on TV who never hear us when we respond to what they say, no matter how outrageous their reporting, we seem to be losing the ability to connect with our neighbors.
That's not so true in rural areas, but in cities, that has increasingly become the norm. The more dense the population, the more isolated the citizenry seems to become.
On a cruise, it's more like being a kid again.
You connect with strangers who you know have at least one thing in common with you: they want to enjoy that great vacation.
Why not book a cruise to the Caribbean or Mexican Riviera?
