While the reasons to use a travel advisor are numerous, initially it comes down to two.

First, I have more complete information about what is available in cruises and packaged tours, both in terms of quality and quantity.

Second, if you will share information about yourself and what you imagine your next great vacation to be like, I can apply that to my search to bring you the best vacation for you personally, based on a combination of your needs with what is available to fit those.

It may not be the one you're sure you want based on what you read on the internet.

Believe it or not, the internet is not unbiased information!  And, it is for the most part generic.

Shocking, isn't it?

Ads that promise free open bar, shore excursions and internet for what seems like prices that couldn't afford to include the underlying cruise often turn out to be for dates you have no interest in going.  Worse yet, they might not actually include those amenities at the low prices advertised.

The differences can be so vast that it may discourage you from following through.

Don't let a quest for the ideal that turned out to be not as affordable as you hoped deter you from experiencing a great cruise or tour.

That's the main reason for contacting me.  I will help you remember that what you really want is the experience of a memorable journey.  For those of you hoping to travel with reluctant spouses, that can be particularly important.

While a balcony might be ideal, if that choice turns out to stretch your budget too thin, then perhaps an ocean view or even interior would work.  This is especially true on port-intensive itineraries like river cruises or more deluxe ocean cruises.

Another situation that pops up more than you might imagine is people becoming so enamored with the special they saw advertised that they lose track of what they need.

For example, going strictly by price, you could end up foregoing an open bar package that for you is well worth the price difference, or if you don't drink, a special that includes that amenity could be costing you far more than it is worth, even if it theoretically is supposed to be "free."

Worse yet, that bargain deal might not have assigned rooms that you personally really need when traveling with small children.  Can you imagine spending your family vacation with your spouse and daughter on one deck while you and your son share a room on the other end of the ship on a different deck?

So, while sometimes you may need to pay a little more than you wanted, remember that's always better than paying less than you should have.  The former costs mere dollars, while the latter costs you precious present moments.

"Better service leads to better trips!"
